Topic: Fire Emblem: Fates

I picked up my SE version of the game the moment the store opened! I've been playing since then and I just finished Vhapter 6, the one where I make my decision. I chose Hoshido.

@DefHalan: The third path is its own version entirely. It isn't played within any other version of the game.

@Detective_TeeJay: I thought the 3rd path would only be available as DLC.

@DefHalan: It's (going to be) available as DLC in the same way that Conquest is available as DLC if you buy Birthright, and Birthright is available as DLC if you buy Conquest. When you make the choice in Chapter 6, the decision is between 3 paths: Birthright, Conquest, and Revelations. In the Special Edition at least. If you don't have the Special Edition the choice will be made available to purchase a month from now.

@Detective_TeeJay: Right, and since he bought both versions physically, he has to choose to purchase that DLC in one of them... I was asking which one he would.

I think that I will play Birthright first, then play Revelation, then play Conquest. I may be wrong, but I believe that is the order of least difficult to most difficult. I will not be playing the back to back though. I probably won't even take the shrink wrap off of Conquest for a long while yet.

My First FE game (Conquest) and I choose Hard > Classic on the difficulty. I hope I can pull this through/

Yeah, I just saw that in a review. I will certainly be playing Birthright first and I will buy Revelations for that copy. However, I will leave Revelations to the end.

Grr....wish my Limited Edition copy would hurry up and arrive! (Still at the very least I should be thankful I got it!) Now I'm still trying to decide...which path to take. I'm a bit of a Noob to the FE series (Sacred Stones was my first, followed by Awakening) In terms of story Conquest seems much more interesting same thing with level variety. Birthright, seems nicer, kinder and more forgiving on the difficulty. Or I could just go down the Revelations path....hrm...what to do???

So. I was looking at the support conversations and noticed that all males can have up to an A+ support with other males, and same for females with other females. What does this mean? It's a different color just like the S support rank. If someone were to avhieve an A+ rank eith someone of the same gender, is that the equivilant of getting married? Like, they can only A+ rank with one person? And if so, does that mean they can't S rank someone of the opposite gender? I'm a bit confused here.

I wasn't able to get my hands on the SE game, but they had the new 3DS in stock at EB games so I ended up getting that and Conquest. Currently doing a system transfer now.

Found the freakin bundle. They didnt have it at my own store but another one had it and they held it for me. I beat out all these angry nerds with BO, greasy hair and plaque in their teeth. Shiny book. Shiny 3 in 1 game. Someone in front of me bought the special 3DS as well.

How is the difficulty level in these games? My problem with Awakening is that hard mode was too easy, and lunatic was waaaaay too difficult to be fun. I'm nearing the end of FE7 (it's a lot shorter than I thought it would be... I'm not going to spend even half as long on this as I did on Awakening), and I like the balancing in this game... it's still kind of easy, but hard enough that if I make a stupid move one of my guys will die and I'll have to restart.

Honestly, as far as pure strategy games go, I think Advance Wars is way more complex, challenging, and involving than the FE games I've played thus far. AW doesn't have dragons, a decent plot, or handsome men to marry, though, so FE still wins overall.

Where do you find the Awakening DLC in game? I know that there is a map pack, but the Awakening map is free.

Wait you have to buy Revelations twice if you have 2 games? That doesn't make sense. You only can download it once to the SD card. Either delete the save or use another file if there is one? I haven't started the game yet so I can't tell if they did files or what
