I immediately suggest to Bonesy to double check for a spelling error so that an opinion I agree with isn't made into a joke because of spelling errors.
also, there was a long post here that I thought had to do with what you were talking about but didn't at all.
Basically, Orange Box and World of Goo. Look at those games. I mean, these were my Game of the Year for 2007/2008. Even IGN, of all people, picked World of Goo instead of Brawl for Nintendo games. Look at most other games, especially 40+ dollar games. Yes, we are being ripped off. We are SO being ripped off. I get better graphics = higher price but it has become ridiculous. Even games I like. I hate to say this, but Bulletstorm, while better than almost anything else in it's genre, failed. But despite that being solely because of some bad marketing, it kinda makes sense. It isn't a full 60 dollar game. It is not a full 60 dollar experience. Maybe it shouldn't have cost 60 dollars.
Of course "iphone and ipad users" who did not play games before do actually think games on other consoles and handhelds are over-priced. Even some, stating the quality of Angry Birds beats games like The Legend of Zelda, Little Big Planet, Uncharted, Halo- I mean, let's be real now, Angry Birds may be fun (I think it's sh*t personally), but no... Hell no. It doesn't compare to those games for many reasons and not including length.
I really can't get into Angry Birds and those who think "You won't be saying that when it comes to your Vita/3DS", I say "You're on that magic marijuana, because even when it comes to 3DS I'll turn the other cheek."
And looking at these people, they seem to be in the 30-40 range On engadget. Anything that isn't Apple for the most part gets hated on.
I wish people would stop with this 'Nintendo is dying' just because they cut the 3DS Price. Nothing is killing Nintendo.
My sentiments exactly. I'm about to explode like a ticking time bomb with all of this negativity toward Nintendo. Nintendo is just plain fine and they're going to quite impressively well this Holiday season thanks to the price drop, and the solid Q4 release line up in Super Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 7, Star Fox 64 3D and Kid Icarus Uprising although Europeans won't get the latter till next year.
Nintendo does not have a clue about the downloadable game market. That's painfully clear. It's true that the other console/handheld makers don't really get it either, but they certainly get it more then Nintendo does. It's not hard.
