Hey guys, pretty hyped for Pokemon X and Y! I've been surfing the net and can't find a whole lot of info about the differences between X and Y. I originally wanted X because I quite like Xerneas - and we already have more then enough bird legendaries - but then it was revealed that both Charizard and Mewtwo have two mega evolutions and I like Y's mega evolutions better! (I like the more traditional look for Charizard better) (It makes me wonder if Blastoise and Venusaur will have multiple ultimate forms too...)
So I started this new thread so that we could have a place to catalogue and talk about the differences between the two versions - it's much tidier than using the other Pokemon X/Y thread. So please post any differences between the games and their Pokemon that you know about and also comment on which version you're getting and why. Cheers!
I've been playing Y for a few days now, but obviously without having X I can't really compare the two in order to work out the differences. So far, the only Y exclusives I've personally come across are Spritzee and Mega Charizard Y.
The only difference is the legendary Pokemon and the Mega evolutions of Mewtwo & Charizard along with which certain Pokemon you can catch in either version.
Why does Game Freak give special treatment to the overrated Pokemon? Where's love for Sceptile and Venasaur? Why can't I get an exclusive Y-mega Venasaur, or at least a Mega Sceptile. By the way, how does Mewtwo even have a Mega Evolution? It makes no sense at all since he was already manipulated to become a Pokemon on its own before Pr. Rowan or whatever that new professor from the Kalos region introduced the new evolutions. It's not like those scientists who invented Mewtwo knew about the mega evolutions in advanced... or did they?
