Alright, for me; i loved it but it got too much work (lazy lol) but i could never bring myself to sell it, even though it collects dust. they're still MY puppies. i'd recomend it.

Thats pretty much my story too. I still play it every now and then.

D: i hope bathing and brushing is faster in the new ones.

@Squiggle55 Since you're from America like me, we can wait for a few reviews to pop up around the internet and then buy. If you like cute things it will be amazing not so much if you already have a dog/cat. I had a gamer friend who bought the original when it first came out still loves it. If you like puppies, you'll have fun, just wait for reviews.
P.S. which version were you looking into?

it's a pet sim. just as you set aside a Tamagotchi eventually, you'll probably wind up setting Nintendogs aside too.

that's exactly what I'm afraid of. I'm just trying to gauge if there is enough growth and novelty in the game to make me play for a good long while. will I get so attached to my pets that I'd feel guilty for selling them to gamestop?

Its addictive at some point if your sharing the game with an friend or sibling you won't get exactly tired of it....

good point, we definitely have the luxury of waiting and seeing. looking at the breed lists I think I would get the French Bulldog one.

Just in case you didn't know, all of the breeds are available on all 3 disks. The difference is only some are available when you first start playing. I'm glad of that as I was having a really hard time choosing which one I want - they're all so darn cute!

I remember, when I had Nintendogs, I was like, that's cool, and after two weeks or so, I dropped it, and never touched it again, so I'll pass on this one, though I still don't know which launch game to choose ...
