Topic: Block Size Question

So with Nintendo of Europe doing a promotion where if you buy and register 3 select games you'll get a forth eShop retail game for free, I was interested in getting Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D for free, but noticed it'll apparently be over 2GBs in size, would would eat up nearly all the rest of the blocks on my 8GB SD Card.

So I was curious what the block sizes were for the other games in the promotion. The games in question in-case you don't know;

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (Nintendo 3DS Version)
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate
Luigi's Mansion 2 (Got)
Fire Emblem: Awakening (Got)
LEGO CITY Undercover: The Chase Begins
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity
Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D
Animal Crossing: New Leaf

So depending on the block sizes, I'll either go with something else or just hold my breath and go with DKCR3D and buy a larger SD card...@_@

Honestly, I'd just buy a bigger SD card if I were you. I mean, my SD Card is 8 GB, but I'll eventually move to a 16 GB card once it fills up. It sounds to me like you were going to fill up your SD card eventually anyways, so I'd probably just upgrade in advance.

What games do you have now?
Do you already have 3 games, if not you could buy donkey Kong and get another game to download.
donkey kong is cheaper then fire emblem, monster hunter, castlevania and luigi's mansion
But I would recommend a larger SD card.
I first started with the 2gb one, then moved on to 4GB. now I stopped my nintendo video and I'm waiting for my 32GB to arrive.
they aren't that expensive.

I literally just bought a 32gig SD card. It was pretty cheap and it's a really fast one, and I was already having space issues so I figured why not? lol. My 2 gig card was NOT cutting it

EDIT: LOL, just went on the eShop to download some titles I didn't previously have room to store permanently. "229730 blocks remaining". HA, OKAY eShop, "Don't worry about it bro, you're fine" would have been sufficient

I'd just upgrade to a 32GB SD card since SD cards have really come down in price.

I had a good laugh as well when I checked the number of blocks after upgrading from the 2gb to the 32gb XD

Never thought I'd love the pink/white 3DS XL ♥

IKR? I've got a 32GB card as well and those 1K block games hardly put a dent in it's memory XD

Stay safe, kids: Make sure to save frequently during multiplayer, and always use a stylus!
