If you stare at those black and white boxes spots appear between them. I think there's some sort of magic going on.

Be sure to scan them again once you obtain their Pokèmon, that way the stickers get recorded! You even unlock some extra features!

Thanks for the tip. I have quite a lot of them in there now. Not that I know what they're for, but hey ... I'm enjoying this app. (I've never played with a Pokemon before but this has got me curious about them.)

If you interested in trying out a Pokemon game they're pretty much like this app except you can battle and interact with them in many other ways. How much love you give them is also important in the game at times. There's lots of exploring and battling with friends offers a lot of replayability. :3

I had secretly hoped that popping in my Pokemon White game into my 3DS would generate some respons in the Pokedex 3D. But it didn't...'

I'm a bit confused: if I scan the marker, I get a black and white image of the Pokemon, and can record the sticker. What happens next?

It's not just young people that play videogames! 😄 Check out my gaming blog at www.ladiesgamers.com.

I was missing a few stickers, so thanks for this. n_n While I was at it I decided to snap pictures of all 42 of my pokemon and I unlocked some new stuff! Won't say what they are... >:3 Find out yourself!

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

I've been talking to a few older lady gamers like myself who got into Pokemon recently and really enjoy the game. We all said that we thought it was primarily a game for young boys. But they're really like it (and their kids think they're cool mums!) So I think I'll give one a try soon.

Cool, I'm enjoying collecting these markers. I never knew how to work on the pokedex in the beginning then when I finally knew, I just can't help but collect those pokemon.

Life without games is just, well BORING. (@_@)

Oi... I got this program that apparently knows what the gen 1-4 AR codes WOULD look like... using some sort of mathmatical black magic voodoo or something. I don't know. I forget where I got it but the gen 1-4 codes don't work. The rest do. Do you think we'll get the rest of the pokemon?

I don't always give myself signatures, but when I do, you just read it.

Yeah. The AR markers are read by your 3DS as a number, and your 3DS then displays the relevant monster etc. They've worked out that those numbers are equivalent to the National Pokédex numbers (#494-#649), not the Unova Pokédex numbers #000-#155), so AR markers based on previous generations are possible. Those 'mons don't exist in Pokédex 3D yet of course, so the markers won't work yet. I think it's extremely likely that in the future we'll see Pokédex 3D updated with additional generations, however.
What's more interesting to me is the prospect of the next major Pokémon game being compatible with the AR markers. Pokémon battles right on your table top, anyone? I think it's a real possibility, mostly because there also exists 2 wildcard markers. Scanning them with Pokédex 3D will display any random Pokémon, and a real game could well use them to project the Pokémon you're currently battling with as opposed to having to physically switch markers when you switch Pokémon... and the fact that there's two fits suspiciously well with one-on-one battling (two identical markers would confuse the system as to which is which).
So, AR Pokémon battles. Possible. Perhaps even likely. Could be an interesting generation.

Your brain sees the contrast between the black boxes and white background and merges the two, creating a gray spot.
