Topic: 3DS XL has a different eShop!

On the 3DS Planet Crashers is a game icon, so when you tap it, it comes up with the software information, but on the 3DS XL it's a folder (So called 'Shelf') that contains a video and a software icon. This could be interesting, maybe the XL shop could offer vesions of software with smaller buttons (like freakyforms) so you could have a bigger canvas to create things or more room for options! I hope having alternative eShops continues because I want software to take advantage of the XL's screen size without leaving original 3DS owners left out.

Are you sure that this is not just a consequence of running a different firmware on each 3DS system?

3DSXL also has GBA games on their eShop too, and 3D CLassic: SuperMarioBros. 3 for free

On the eshop there's 2 different types of icon, the categories or the 'shelves' and the game icons.

The categories take you to a list of games matching the categories 'theme'. Their shapes are Rectangles: ■■.

The game icons take you to a specific software's information. Their shape is Square: ■.

On the XL there is a category for Planet Crashers.
On the normal size there's a software icon for a Planet Crashers.

On the XL the category contains the software icon and video for Planet Crashers.

On the original it's only an icon that opens up the software information.

This has been observed from the english version of the EU eShop.
