So I ordered a og 3ds and haven't gotten it, its Japanese but i'm going to homebrew it. I've been looking at more 3ds homebrew stuff and have been starting to regret getting the og 3ds for homebrew i don't want to spend so much preferably and reselling the 3ds would be a hassle, I got the 3ds for $75 without tax. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

@MOUSED the NEW 3DS/2DS is a homebrew machine, the og 3DS/2DS is like a portable PS1 (your not gonna be able to do much with it).

Unfortunately we aren't allowed to discuss homebrewing here. Best advice is Google is your friend.

Does the 3DS still count as a current system now that the eShop has closed? I'd think not, but I'll await clarification from the mods before launching into a detailed discussion.

DS, Wii and Wii U homebrew discussion seems like fairly safe territory these days. Well, at least so long as people don't start advocating piracy or posting links.

My guy, I still find it weird that the Wii is considered retro. It blows my mind that so much time has passed and now the 3DS and Wii U are considered retro.
