Just a simple would-you-rather question. Would you rather have a 3DS game running at 30 FPS WITH 3D or 60 FPS with 3D DISABLED and why? Also, does 3D matter to you? Do you care whether or not a game runs at 60 frames?

30 FPS with 3D enabled. They both matter, but I want 3D for sure, and 30 FPS is perfectly fine. It's when it dips below 30 FPS that it starts to be problematic.

Playing 3DS games in '2D' sucks, at least for me. 3D adds a massive layer of magic, incredible depth persception, wow factor, makes the experience 5x greater and breaths life into every single genre. it just makes sense and it's amazing when done right. I can't even be bothered playing 3DS gams in 2D, it just feels flat out dull, visually boring, harder to play games due to not having real depth perception depending on the title ect ect....Without the 3D effect, the 3DS would be no where even close to as exciting as it is....
And 30fps and 60fps is an obvious massive difference, however I'd take the 3D effect with 30fps.....Unless it's a fighter like SSFIV....Maybe, nah I'd still probably keep it at 30fps. lol
I couldn't agree more WaveyGravy!

If it's a fighter or first person shooter, I'd go with no 3D and 60fps. However, platformer/adventure(most other genres) I'd go with 3D effect running at 30 frames.
Just get it right. 15 FPS w/ 3D and 2D? Heck no. 60 FPS w/ 3D off, and 30 w/ 3D on, when toggling it? Then yes. EDIT: Or add anti-aliasing in 2D w/ 40 FPS.

Word. 3D rocks. It's one of the main reasons why 3DS is so much better than that vita crap lol.
I'd rather have my character's assets jiggle in 3D than have the jiggling be silky smooth.
Can't argue with that.
But really it depends on the game, in DOA I switch between them in single player but in multi I stick with 60fps which is why the fact Tekken 3D turns 3D off in multi doesn't bother me(although the fact the title is a misnomer kinda does:P).

I don't see the difference between 30FPS and 60FPS.
I remember Ono saying having 3D on in SSFIV drops framerate down to 30.. But that never hindered anything for me because I never felt the difference in gameplay.
I think one game that stood out to me is Diddy Kong Racing DS and Mario Kart DS- the former is 30 frames and the latter is 60 frames. But again, it never bothered me..
Unless there's a side-by-side comparison, I can't tell the difference between 30 and 60 FPS, so I obviously prefer 3D at 30 FPS.
Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.
But if I had to choose I'd pick 30FPS and 3D. But that's only in the case of portable games, 30 Vs. 60 is a lot less noticeable on such a small screen than it is on a actual HD tv. Depends a lot on the game in question too of course.
Looking forward to: No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again
I don't really care. I would rather play more detailed games on a PC or xbox. From my point of view, the 3ds is better off with "cartoon"(Not meant to look realistic) type of game. So 30 FPS is perfectly fine for me.(I find it uncomfortable playing resident evil revelations and metal gear solid on my 3DS) Of course I would wan't 60FPS if it is a "realistic".
Not extremely into nintendo at the moment, but not really into anything else either. :|
