Are there any or is such a thing dead on a Nintendo console? I can't think of anything, and other than Smash I'm not looking forward to anything by Nintendo either. If I had to guess I would say 3D Land 2 or Galaxy 3D will come this year though, but still...

The 3rd party situation on the 3DS is just fine and its the go to piece of hardware for 3rd parties looking to put a game on handhelds.

Bravely Default, Persona Q, and Conception 2 are the games high up on my list and I'm sure there will be plenty more in 2014. I'm REALLY hoping MH4 gets localized next year too.

Four more months until Bayonetta 2.

Besides the annual Pokemon game, all I want is this :
Localize the Japanese Dragon Quest games.

Maybe it's fine if you're Japanese then? I want to try Bravely Default but I really hope that isn't it for the year. There's more 3rd party games I want to play on WiiU and that's sad

there'll be some game you've never heard of that will be much better than some 60 dollar game you probably have heard of

so there's that

also like half of 3DS' 2013 games were seemingly announced in 2013 so...yeah...

You shouldn't expect Nintendo to announce a bunch of games early. The only reason we know about a lot of games coming to the Wii U is because the sales plummeted after its launch.

Conception II.
Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy.
Bravely Default.
Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright
Devil Survivor 2: Break Record

Those are all of the confirmed and/or dated ones I'm excited about. There'll likely be a ton of good third-party games we haven't even heard about yet released over the course of 2014. Not to mention Nintendo's continually amazing first-party software for the machine.

Along with many of the things already mentioned, I'm very much looking forward to Yumi's Odd Odyssey.

There'll likely be plenty more announced when we're actually in 2014 but beyond Bravely Default, Kirby Triple Deluxe and the new Harvest Moon, I can't even be bothered about the 2014 3DS line up because I have so much catching up to do between 2011-13.

The 3DS 2014 third party lineup is nonexistent which confirms that no matter how well a Nintendo system sells it won't get much support... The only game I'm looking forward to is Cult County but we haven't heard much more about it which leads me to believe that it might be canned

This would almost make sense if the DS didnt receive plenty of third party support.

Bravely Default, maybe Yumi's Odyssey? That's all I care about at least, and that's all I will care about unless a Miracle Happens.

But did DS receive significant western 3rd party support? That is an honest question because while DS combined with the current western 3rd party publishers sounds like it wouldn't work, considering its massive success I almost have to believe I missed something. I know there was that GTA game of course but other than that...?

Does it matter where the third party support came from?

I'm on my phone so I'm not exactly in a position to research your question.

Yep. Besides GTA there was also Call Of Duty, WWE, Guitar Hero, FIFA, Assassins Creed, Crash Bandicoot, Age of Empires, Need For Speed, Rayman, Scribblenauts, Tomb Raider, Tony Hawk, Sims, Tom Clancy, Lego, Madden, Worms, Prince of Persia, Spyro etc all had multiple releases from their franchises on the DS.
