Where some say the Wii U is to weak for the NG. I believe the PS4 and Xbox One is too much. These to new consoles are going to cost A LOT! All the features on the new Xbox One, cool sure, but that's not why I buy a "video game console". Still about the games in my opinion and of course about the pricing of the hardware, but in my head Sony and Microsoft won't let their consoles go easy. I think Nintendo will cut the prices on the Wii U 1 or 2 months before the PS4 and Xbox One roll out into stores. Smart move imo.

I still don't get why this has become some sort of race between Wii U and Sony PS4. Different consoles and different game-experiences. I think neither console seem bad, but appeal in different ways. In my point of view Nintendo has the right attitude by focusing on how games are played instead of how well games look. I'll say it again, the Wii U needs more games. If after E3 this problem is fixed, so is the bad sales figures. Only time will tell about the PS4 and next-box. Worst case scenario would be home videogame consoles eleminated for good...

I shared my similar view on Nintendos decision when this was announced not long ago. I still believe Nintendo is doing the right thing... Still not liking Patcher though

So what you're aksing is, if the Wii U console had different or more colors at launch it would have reached it's anticipated salespoint by now...? I'm think NO! Games and marketing strategies/commercial problems have been the main issues in my opinion.

@Zyph I very much agree with your statement.... This is a wise business move. I still think we are going to see some new-news about upcoming titles for sure. Also not putting way to much effort into this E3 is smart since there is no way to compete against 2 new homeconsole releases from Nintendo's competitors. I think it would be a waste to use to much money on this E3 because Nintendo's press is going to fade in the lights of new consoles releasing very soon...

@Nintenjoe64 SouthP reference, excellent!!!!! The only thing needed is first party games. This console is taking a lot of criticism, but I believe it will survive the blow. About Nintendo's bad decisions, well... The only reason we only hear about Nintendo's mistakes is that the company is the worlds best, greatest and oldest videogamecompany to still make Home and handheld consoles. It's just fun and interesting to hear about the mistakes done by the Big Dawg! t is challenging times sure, but the big N will prevail once again.

This wasn't even an issue to begin with. Talking of course about the Wii U's specs being inferior to the up-coming PS4 and 720. Real gamers and Nintendo users "DON'T CARE". The Wii U has respectable specs - "the end". Unreal Engine 4 seems cool, sure but that's why we have PCs.... Right guys n' girls? Let's just hope that we'll soon be able to welcome awesome 1st party games to our Wii U libraries. Hint! The Legend of Zelda HD

I'm currently in China working at a school... I just ordered the WiiU from a local store to my home in Denmark. Now i play the waiting game, as I have to stay in China 'till august.
Still, it's a warm feeling knowing that the WiiU will be waiting for me when I return home. And hopefully lots of new cool games will be released before I get back. So far I'm only interested in Zombie U, New Super Mario Bros. U and maybe NFS most wanted.

This game looks freakin' awesome.. I'm thinking of Megaman, yes. But also ducktales because of shovel knights jumping shovel-ability. Looks alot like MCducks canemove..

Catlevania demo seems awesome, however. It is as I feared. Low frames and lack. Please god oh please make the full game run more smoothly with much lesser framedrops. Gamestyle and combat is really something though. Still waiting to play mh demo. Thanks.

I myself have ever since the N64, owned every single nintendo console released. I believe the big disccusion about nintendos release of the Wii U, once again, will be about NGC = Next Gen Consoles(not Nintendo Gamecube . It is true that nowadays' big focus when it comes to NGC is about the graphical leap, from the previouse generation. I personally would love for this console to be extremely powerful, but it's not, which is fine. As it says so in the article "different perspective". In my belief: If Nintendo made a console with the same control scheme and nextgenpowered graphics the box itself would be waaaay to expensive for ordinary nintendofans to purchase. I've seen videoes of some not yet released gaming engines and OMG they look deliciouse. "Fun fact": Actually, the gaming hardware on the market for PC users already now, has the potential power to run these new "not yet released engines". But the industry waits for the consoles to be able to handle them. I think it's a question of money. And I also think it's a wise decision by Nintendo not to go down this road "YET". Simply because the market is not there yet. But a debate about Nintendos Wii U, concerning if it's a NGC or not is definitely going to happen. Also, Sonys and microsofts new consoles are first set to be released in about 2-3 years. But I don't know if that is true. But for now let's focus on the gloriouse and much anticipated Wii Freakin' U!!! Next gen or not, we're going to buy it!!!
