YES I think this game looks really cool. It would be great if they could still find a way to bring it to Wii U.

I was lucky enough to find a copy at EB games (like game stop in Canada). It was their second last copy, but I'm lucky. It's really good.

Usually I am impressed with you Nintendolife, but in this case you are demonstrating irresponsible journalism. Nowhere in that quote does Iwata say anything that implies he will resign. He says simply that meeting the targets is his commitment. He has no control over whether consumers latch on to the products or not. And he certainly doesn't say anything about what missing the commitment would imply. Shame NL for yellow journalism.

These sorts of awards are based on graphical power and polygon counts anyway. pundits and industry ppl don't take Nintendo seriously but who cares. They have bad taste anyway.

SocksandSocks commented on Talking Point: The Message in "I'm Not a Gamer...:
I don' t think they should have been worded any different at all! Gamers, we can't be so damned sensitive! Weather you like it or not there are negative connotations around the word "gamer"! This is no secret. Anyone who games knows this. The adds are simply saying: "Hey girls, or other people who wouldn't normally call themselves gamers, you can play games too." What the hell is wrong with that message? The wording is absolutely right because they way they put it is catchy and memorable! These are the characteristics of any effective advertising campaign! Should we Nintendo fanboys be so jealous as to expect Ninty to court no other customers than us? Madness!!! Put aside any insecurities you may have long enough to realize that diversification of Nintendo's target market is the most probable guarantee of more hardcore Nintendo games in the future! The wider Nintendo's customer base, the more stable the company, the more likely your great grand kids are to be playing Mario and Zelda when you're 90 years old. Not everything Nintendo does must be hand crafted for you and only you!

I support Nintendo and PETA!!!! PETA stands for something noble, animals rights. Nintendo makes great video games.
Nintendo gets free publicity from PETA when they do something like this and PETA gets publicity too! Both sides will benefit.

SocksandSocks commented on Want to Know Why Rayman Legends is a Wii U Exc...:
No this won't affect how many developers decide to make multi-platform games available on Wii U. Developers can chose to use the game-pad features or not. I'm sure some games will just throw maps on the gamepad screens and nothing else. If third parties don't port their good stuff to Wii U now then they are just lazy!

Will say something crazy right now! I'm looking forward to playing Nintendo Land. Sounds like it's a pack-in anyway. I actually like minigames. Same reason I loved Rhythm heaven and WarioWare. It's hard to get bored when gameplay is fragmented like that.

Reggie is right. In case you didn't know, a company has a legal obligation to seek profit for it's share-holders above all else (see The Corporation documentary). Yes above even whiny gamers who have played Nintendo games since they were kids and who don't realize that today's world isn't the world of the1980s or the 1990s. We see those old games with rose colored glasses because of the wonderful memories, but we neglect to remember that since then two mega-corporations, Sony and Microsoft, have moved in to reap the rewards that pioneers like Nintendo and Sega layed the groundwork for. You want more of your childhood, but you forget that something is different about 2012 that wasn't the case back then. Nintendo needs to carve out it's niche to thrive. That is exactly what they do well. If you don't want to play Wii Fit or Nintendo Land then continue to support the lifeless megacorporation's next bleak and desolate shooter, cause guess what, there will be people who buys these games and it is what will keep Nintendo in business to create the next Mario Galaxy, or the next Metroid, or Star Fox or Zelda. You think Nintendo looks at 10 or so Million copies of Brawl sold and doesn't compare it to the 40 million of Wii fit, or the 20 to 30 million a 2D Mario game could bring in. The latter two games take fewer resources to complete and reap higher rewards to keep Nintendo in existence in the face of other software giants. Gamers who want to see their core interests survive should be thankful that Nintendo has a balanced approach, otherwise games like Zelda could one day have no resources to draw from and be extinct.
