Kirby has one of the most simple and recognisable designs out of any video game character. He's just a pink round boy with big eyes and an irresistible face! We want to cuddle and squeeze him. But for today's brand new Kirby game, Kirby's Dream Buffet, it seems like Kirby needed to be even rounder!

@ObscureKirby has looked into Kirby's character model in the party game, which sees Kirby roll around in various food-themed minigames and challenges, and has found out that Kirby's model is more round than it was in his previous game, Kirby and the Forgotten Land. (Thanks, NintendoSoup!)

Counting arms, feet, and expressions, this bigger, better Kirby comes in at 22,844 vertices! That's over 7,000 more vertices than were used for his forgotten Land model. Even just counting his main body, there's still a difference of just under 7,000 vertices, with Dream Buffet coming out on top.

That's a lot of Kirby, but it makes sense as there are a lot of tasty treats that Kirby needs to devour in Dream Buffet. That should help the little fella roll around a lot more easily!

We'll have a review of Kirby's Dream Buffet soon, but in the meantime, why not check out last week's overview trailer to see what kind of delights are waiting for you!

What do you think of Kirby's rounder model? Do you think he's still perfect? We certainly do. Roll on down to the comments to let us know!
