As has been tradition since the game launched, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's next Spirit Board event will be taking place over the upcoming weekend.
Lasting for the usual three days, this event is celebrating some of the older folk in its ridiculously large cast of colourful characters. Here's the official announcement, straight from Nintendo itself:
"The three-day Super #SmashBrosUltimate spirit event "Wisdom Comes With Age!" starts on 13/09! Spirits with a few more years under their belt get their spotlight on the Spirit Board! Defeat them in battle to earn more Snacks"
If you missed the news earlier, Smash series director Masahiro Sakurai has said that there's "no way" future Smash games will feature the number of fighters present in Ultimate. He's shared this and more in his latest Famitsu column.

Interest in the game is waning for me for sure. It still fun to play with friends online, but grinding through these events is no longer appealing, especially with the long list of new titles constantly coming out.
Hoorah for my dude Cranky Kong!
I wish they had a central hub of some sort like Dragon Ball Fighterz. To have events like splatfests over "hey some stickers are out." Would give a lot of people more of a reason to play. I know all of the excitement that I would get for splatoon's splatfests. I played splatoon for like 60 hours, so not a crazy amount of time. However, I would fondly remember hearing about a splatfest, order some dominos pizza and enjoying the community event. Smash I have put in 350-400 hours so this feature would be incredible.
Oh no, not the Boomer Brigade!
I saw Olaf from Advance Wars 2 and I got my hopes up...
I would love to get the Advance Wars titles on Switch!
