Reviews
A bloody good time
It's 2017, and this is a review for DOOM on the Nintendo Switch. Even after having completed the 8-to-10 hour campaign, spending a few more hours in multiplayer and having tried out arcade mode, it still feels unreal. After 20 years, id's magnum opus is back on a Nintendo console. "They are rage, brutal, without mercy. But you...

Port city
Updated with new entries. Enjoy! Few could have predicted just how successful Nintendo's hybrid console would be prior to launch back in March 2017. The hype is real for this year's E3. We've got a resurgent Nintendo, riding on the crest of Switch's enormous success. As a result, every publisher and their mum is trying to squeeze games onto the hybrid console faster than you can say Call of Duty (apart from, it would seem, Activision)...

Movie Review GoldenEra - A Celebratory Examination Of GoldenEye 007's Creation And Impact
Worth its weight in gold
"A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad." Ah, yes. The classic quote that may or may not have been uttered by Shigeru Miyamoto. With the gaming industry (understandably) experiencing an unusually high number of delays in recent years, the proclamation has been the subject of memes to the point...

Random DOOM CAPTCHAs Are Way More Fun Than "Click Here If You're Not A Robot"
R1_p_4N--d...t3aR
No one likes CAPTCHAs. We all understand that they're a necessary evil, to stop evil robots from infiltrating our favourite Metroid fanfic forums and writing nonsense about Samus Aran and Mother Brain kissing, but do they have to be so terribly boring? It's all, "click here to prove you're human" and "please select all squares...

About The Game
Fight Like Hell
Developed by id Software, the studio that pioneered the first-person shooter genre and created multiplayer Deathmatch, DOOM returns as a brutally fun and challenging modern-day shooter experience. Relentless demons, impossibly destructive guns, and fast, fluid movement provide the foundation for intense, first-person combat – whether you’re obliterating demon hordes through the depths of Hell in the single-player campaign, or competing against your friends in numerous multiplayer modes. One of my favorite games of 2016, now portable
So glad this is coming out this holiday season vs sometime next year.
Maybe the worst Version, but an outstanding game and its impressive what the Switch can do.
And its portable!
I didn't think I would have issues with the graphics, but the experience is really not that smooth. I think it is way too blurry and I keep losing focus.
The motion aim controls don't work as well as I hoped and even after a lot of practice I just stick to joysticks.
I am mostly disappointed by the poor audio quality, however. This is a game that takes its energy from the atmosphere and adrenaline. The audio is extremely compressed which makes it more annoying than anything else.
Great game, average port.
Panic button. What a team. How they have ported Doom to Switch is nothing short of remarkable. This is gaming on the go at its finest.
