i'm not sure where to put this topic, but it's a question that's been bugging me for a while: when companies develop a new console/handheld, how soon do games for said systems go into development?
do they need to wait til the system gets to a certain point, do they work hand in hand? i really have very little knowledge of this part of the gaming industry and would appreciate any knowledge you are able to share (i'm looking at you, @waltz, lol)
