Heh, this game's pretty neat. It's basically a game that has elements featured from the 'Megaman' game franchise. Particularly from the 'X family of the Megaman games'. Anyways, this game has a mixture between the genres of: rouge-like and action-platformer. The two main, playable of the cast are called Nina, and Ace who've different abilities. I've only played as Nina so far but she can pull of some crazy abilities with her power-suit like charging up jumps to go LITERALLY flying across the screen! X'D (But can only occur when you receive the right pieces for the class. Also, when you do this even without collecting any parts you don't go as far but you'll still get that cool, glowing blue outline effect. ;D)

Anyways, the game is still in Early Access for a discounted price of £6.99 or equivalent currency amount. And IIRC, I think the game is going to have online features implemented as well. It's worth checking out if you got a Steam account. ;D

My full review on Steam:

"When the genres of Platforming and rouge-like come together (with a mention of a twist of Megaman reminiscent gameplay) you would get something like this.

20XX is a game of past-paced action, greatly designed levels (which flows excellently well with the pace of the gameplay), well thought abilities & powerups and the vector graphic style used for the tilesets and characters is also a positive feature to take into consideration. Even though the game is currently in alpha stages so it will have a few graphical bugs and issues with the AI. Issues like - the enemies' animation doesn't stop walking forward when it's on the edge of a platform and sometimes the AI of some enemies does act a bit clumsy/or a bit cheap. They'll eventually get patched in future updates and the game is just too gewd! ;3

Review round up:

  • Nice gameplay & graphic style.
  • Awesome abilities & animation flow. ;P
  • But has a few bugs with the AI. -hopes that I haven't missed out anything else important- xD"

[NOTE: Echoes of Eridu was the pre-alpha name of the game before it was changed to 20XX]
