@Goldie im 90% sure that the chances of finding a shiny havent increased on the game, but i think so many people find shinys in the Friend Safari is because there are only three pokemon that can be found so the chanses will increase because chaining would be easier.
You have 2 or 3 pokemon in the friend safari, chaining is impossible there.
