Sorry this is going to be a rant just because I am so frustrated with Nintendo/Amazon
Well it seems like the Channel Islands have been cut off from Nintendo games.
It used to be that you ordered from Amazon and they would remove the VAT (as we do not pay it)
But now it just says that they cannot deliver to this destination as you HAVE to use a postcode.
There used to be a post code for the channel islands which was ZZ1 1GB, which we had to pay VAT but it was a get around for this problem. Now they have cut it off.

Also If you try and order from the Official UK Nintendo Store website and put Guernsey in the country, it says it cannot deliver here. But change it to UK but using the same post code, it does work, therefore having to put on the VAT. This a coinsidence???? DON'T THINK SO!!!

Here in Guernsey we only have one shop on the entire island that sells video games, and none that sells any CDs or DVDs so for most things you HAVE to shop online.

What is wrong with people?? The Channel Islands are part of the UK, what is the problem????

@Bunkerneath Do other online storefronts ship to where you live?

Currently Playing: Yakuza Kiwami 2 (SD)

I also live in the Channel Islands, so just checked to see if this was happening with me ...

Doesn't seem to be happening for me, apart from New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe - it says, this item is only available to customers located in the United Kingdom.

Hopefully they won't roll this out to all games, otherwise we'll be screwed.

@aletissier It's only games sold by Nintendo, therefore any IPs owned by Nintendo directly. Try Mario Maker or Breath of the Wild, it tells me This item does not ship to Channel Islands
The last Nintendo IP i bought from Amazon was Smash Brothers, and received it fine (day early to be honest ) but if I try and buy it now, doesn't ship here.

@Bunkerneath I live in the mainland UK so this doesn't affect me and I have no experience with trying to ship to the Channel Islands, but have you tried other retailers? (base.com, thegamecollection, etc.) You say you live in Guernsey, on Amazon does the same thing happen if you select Jersey? This whole issue does seem wrong though, because as you say, the Channel Islands are classified as the UK.

Just worked out, if I go to other sellers I can select Amazon and then it works, phew as all the other sites I can use does not even give Guernsey or any of the Channel Islands as an option

@Bunkerneath For a second there, I read the topic title as "Amazing Nintendo Games and Channel Islands"...

Sounds like a weird problem to have, though and very understandable how frustrating it might be.

You live in a very lovely place though, so congrats on being a Guernsey native.

Holy Crap, just checked Amazon for an order, then thought I would check to see if the cannot deliver was still in effect......

ITS CHANGED!! They can now deliver all Nintendo games to the Channel Islands, I did put a comment on the Super Mario Maker 2 asking why it could not be delivered to the Channel Islands, but no one answered it.
