Topic: We could all be playing Wind Waker this weekend. But instead we got Skyward Sword.

Honestly I can only play Skyward Sword with stick controls. It just feels more comfortable than having to keep changing positions to do different moves. Also, motion controls can be genuinely unresponsive sometimes- I never beat the purple coin version of Flip-Swap galaxy in SMG2, because the Wiimote didn’t always recognise when I shaked it- and that’s pretty basic compared to Skyward Sword’s controls.

I thought the dungeons and bosses in Skyward Sword were excellent!

That's a pretty narrow-viewed take, to be honest.

Speaking for myself, the majority of time I'm playing on console I just wanna lie down on my couch and chill. I don't want to have to sit up at attention to be able to waggle the controller all the time, or in the Wii era consistently point the Wiimote at the TV to not lose calibration every 5 seconds.

@Link-Hero So I reply about my opinion on a game on a gaming site and told to grow up. Says the user you what's to insult people because he's hiding behind a compute screen. Maybe it's you that should grow up.

Wind Waker is possibly my favorite Zelda game (it’s a revolving door between multiple), but Skyward Sword is still really good. We should have both on switch, not one or the other.

Currently playing: Pokemon Soul Silver, Mario RPG

You can get the Wii U version for HD Wind Waker rather than complaining the absence of Wind Waker Switch version.

@Link-Hero Anything with cartoonist style I don't like. If that was the case I wouldn't enjoy Borderlands. Maybe stop trying to figure people and take a long look in the mirror dude. Who is the one hiding behind a screen insulting people? People like that seem to be more of a basement dwelling loser.

I liked SS, but I enjoyed WW a tad more. Aside from the Triforce sections of course.

It's been a while since I've played WW, and I was waiting on nintendo to port it. I guess I might just play on my Wii U

I have Wii U machine.
I have Wind Waker Wii U version as well.
The Wii U machine is probably still available from garage sale or Ebay or your nearest game shop.
Wii U machine is still one of my important video game machine despite of its failure.
You want a legit copy of Wind Waker?
Get the Wii U version or GameCube version instead.

Keep getting upset with our suggestion will not make Wind Waker suddenly on Switch.
The only possible way to play Wind Waker is getting the Wii U version or Gamecube version if you don't want Wii U version.

Wowie. This took a turn. The wii u is actually one of my favorite consoles. The library is surprisingly great. Not to mention, you can play wind waker 🫠

@Pupuplatter don’t got one other, doesn’t change the fact a lot of people own a Wii U lol. We get it you want the game ported, but why so hostile when both games are equally loved? You’re not the only person who wants the game on the switch. I’m sure they will pot tit one day. But fact of the matter is wind waker had a HD port wind waker didn’t have anything of the sort.

ok, we can all have our opinions and differences of opinion

but this statement is false and that's not an opinion, that's a fact and it's not debateable

The fact is I have Wii U machine, I played my Wii U games, I played my Wind Waker Wii U version.

@Pupuplatter you just had a bunch of people in this thread tell you they owned a Wii you, I can find a whole fanbase that talks about games on the Wii U. The Wii U wasn’t this big success or anything, in fact I consider it a failed console, and it didn’t exactly reach great sale numbers, and wasn’t really popular, but that doesn’t mean a lot of people can’t have one. It just didn’t sell well.

This is one of the few forums on the internet where you'll find a lot of people who own a Wii U. Mind you, even then, there are probably less of us than those who have a PS4.

@Matt_Barber I don’t know I feel like I have heard a lot of people who claimed the own a Wii U outside this site. Be it twitter Reddit YouTube gameFAQ. They could be lying sure but there’s no way for me to know that.
