Just started playing; it's so good! I never played the original. Also noting how hilarious the dialogue is compared to the obnoxious talking flowers in Wonder. ๐
@Joeynator3000 That maze always sucked. I hated it.
It's a good thing the code is the same as the original.
Pearl (or Pearls, I can't remember, I think it's Pearl).
I never got to play this on the SNES for some bizarre reason, as I would get pretty much every big game that came out back then.
Anyway, I'm a couple hours in and really liking it. For me, it's been a fascinating look at the origins of the Paper Mario series, actually - I'm a latecomer to all those games and only started with Origami King, and I just did Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga on my 3DS. It's been interesting to see the similarities in the goofy dialogue, the attacks, the items, the enemies, etc.
You can feel that it's an older game under the hood for sure, but dang they've done a great job with everything. I just wouldn't expect the level of "tactical" feedback you may be used to from more modern games, if that makes any sense. Hard to describe, but the button timings just don't give as much kickback as the two more modern Mario games I mentioned above.
Space and Games are similar. Space is endless and new stuff is out there waiting to be discovered. Games are always being made but the creativity is different from one game to another and so many more ideas still haven't been imagined or created yet. (That came out better than expected lol)
@FishyS There is NOTHING wrong with the talking flowers...

Just got the first Star, and I just want to point out how creative the design of the first boss is.
Paper Mario could learn a thing or two from this. (And Iโm a fan of modern Paper Mario).

Haven't made it to far yet, but I'm really enjoying this remake. The extra detail given to everything and the addition of the cutscenes, it really breathes much more life into the world and it's characters!
I got that cursed frog coin from the castle entrance first try, but there is definitely a toad standing by later on just in case you didn't make them jump. I'm pretty sure that the toad wasn't standing there in the original, right? Otherwise that frog coin wouldn't have given me so much trouble back then.

If there is one thing Reddit is good for, itโs making that coin known to me. I would have never caught it otherwise.

Why you waiting to buy it next year? Why not just get the game now when its available.
You never know if the game will be hard to find and buy due to scalpers/hoarders jacking up the price of the game like they did with the old Super NES game.
