I have noticed if you turn down all graphic settings or just off and turn fullscreen setting off the game runs a lot smoother and honestly looks better. I was crashing constantly and super laggy in zones with a lot of other people I did that and it fixed the problem. My game also doesn't error out and close anymore after doing so. I think it's just trying to do too much with the settings it's at.

@Diakuuji Had the same issue. Apparently you might have too many friends in your friend list. You might have to remove some people for it to work. I know, it sounds like a troll, but it actually did boot up completely after I did that and I got the tip from a Reddit user. Just keep your best friends and remove those you don't regularly play with.

I find myself diving deep back into this game. Its taken the place of Super Kirby Clash as part of my morning settle-into-the-day-get-ready-for-work routine. Half an hour of play every morning. Grab the daily log-in reward, maybe run a mission or open zone for a little while.

We'd need one more person, but I would like to start earning the currency it offers asap.

Ah yes, the benefits of premium membership. I enjoyed those back on PS4. But for the Switch version I'll be thoroughly F2P, aside from the few days of membership the daily log-in reward or treasure chests throw my way. As for your friend being our third, that sounds fantastic. I was considering dabbling with alt accounts on multiple Switches to get things going if need be, but it appears that won't be necessary.

Just to be up front, my contribution to the pantheon would be sparse, little more than a warm body or a number. I doubt I would ever be available for adventure missions or raids or anything like that.

If your friend agrees to jump in all that would be left is the where and when for invitations I suppose?

My only suggestion for the pantheon name would be to keep it generic, Nintendo Life. Keep it appealing for other NL.com forum members who might express interest in joining. Aside from that, since you're the one fronting the credits, any decisions regarding the pantheon I leave to you. I am the silent, minority stakeholder.

Although, if I remember correctly, some pantheon choices required a majority vote?

My schedule is flexible. I get home from work at 3pm CST, so I can meetup whenever after that time of day during the workweek if weekends are too hectic. I'll send you a FR when I get home from work today.

New player progression appears to remain unchanged. Follow the yellow brick road by focusing solely on the story campaign. Doing so unlocks locations in the Capital. Dump your available currency into those Capital locations (Citadel, Tower, Hall of Trophies, etc.) to advance your rank. Complete the bastions as they become available and assign symbols under the abilities tab to enhance your combat effectiveness.

Unlocked directives last night. These weren't in the game when I played regularly on PS4. Basically your daily to-do list for high value/premium currencies. Time to grind out those victory medals for Hall of Trophies progress.

Lets chop that wood.

Now we're cooking with gas. Finished the yellow brick road last night, becoming a junior god. The hardest part about the endboss fight is completing the twenty minute mission before the game crashes, lol. Anywho once you're a junior god you unlock the other half of the directives playlist, the adept system, and most importantly...operations. Operations is your weekly activity leaderboard for argents.

Why pay for premium currency when you can earn it?

Also unlocked Grovewalker. My oh my, what a class. Very much like the cryomancer, but its AoE is wider. It feels like an upgrade, although the combat progressions are very different. The cryomancer's damage is frontloaded; attack then wait for cooldowns. Grovewalker has a lower ceiling for damage but its damage output is more consistent. It has cooldowns as well, but I feel as though I'm always active in combat rather than staring at a countdown.

If you haven't already, I would make finishing the story and unlocking your divine form your top priority.

It's unreasonable to have group content available to launch solo, without being in a group, straight away. They can't be completed solo until your divine form has been advanced to the point where its duration lasts long enough to finish them solo. Worse yet, group content is often tied to bastion progression, which is ridiculous. I recommend you reserve your daily allotment of stimulants for skipping (completion without participation) bastion quests for group content.

Although it's an eyesore, I would ignore directives regarding group. Stick to completing the squad and region directives when the rewards appear worthwhile (credits and knowledge aren't enough, imo). Here in the midgame it's all about cultivating and managing your adepts, as they're your primary source for acquiring faith, which fuels your divine form. Swapping out lower-leveled adepts for higher level adepts as you acquire them. And properly equipping them to maximize faith returns.

Managing adepts and completing squad missions in your divine form (when you have available faith to do so) to earn divine deeds, which is the currency used in the Tower of Deeds, should be the first thing you be do each and every day. Before even considering your directives.

Go super saiyan as often as possible, my friend.

Hmm, a 400 MB patch this morning.

I didn't play long enough to notice if stability had improved or not.

Seems the developers have changed the currency for the Hall of Travels since I last played. Hall of Travels is the divine form path that extends the duration of your divine form in missions. It used to just take divine deeds, now you have to unlock it first by spending victory medals. That's...kind of ridiculous.

It makes me regret spending the 6k victory medals I had on Tower of Knowledge upgrades.

75 hours deep, just finished tier three for all my bastions. Working on closing out the regions for generation one equipment and gems, as well as the thousands of knowledge they award upon completion. Now I'm just waiting for the daily refresh of operations and directives. The road to earning the 8,400 victory medals I need to unlock the Hall of Travels, which will allow me to take on group content solo, is long and arduous.

Any bets as to what will happen first?

The release of Monster Hunter Rise, forcing me to drop Skyforge as my main game.

Or the directives are generous enough to get me the victory medals I desire before then.

I think can move Skyforge off my morning log-in routine. I need a solid block of time, two to three hours straight, to have any chance of being competitive for the daily operations leaderboard. And that chunk of time is only available after work. Region directives are also difficult to complete during this invasion period since invasions are tuned for high-level solo play, not scrub-level partial-blue-gear play.

It's tough looking at a directives menu with five-out-of-six panels maxed out with seven gold directives.

Rank progression has slowed to a crawl since I can't do a majority of the dailies solo.

The crawl towards unlocking Hall of Travels continues, currently at 2300/8400. Going at a pace of about 400 victory medals a week. At this rate I won't unlock HoT before Monster Hunter Rise arrives. If I wasn't saving all my argents for the mythical griffin mount I could exchange them 2500 victory medals, if I were desperate. But that would be a waste of premium currency.

I think I'm ready to shelve Skyforge. With the inability to gain victory medals consistently through directives I'm no longer making any progression gains. I'd rather have the the 23 GB of storage back on my sd card. My character should remain on the server in case I ever return.

Skyforge did well to grab 100+ hours of my time again, but I'm through.
