Topic: Question about "kingdom NL"

I'm thinking about getting this game today but I have one very important question... Can the King ride the Deer/Moose/Caribou or would I have to play as the queen

@Jojabean44 Short answer: any ruler can ride any of the animals.

Long answer: I love this game, so I’m super happy to talk about it. When you start a new game, your gender, colors, blazon, etc. will be randomly assigned and you can’t edit them (except your blazon I think, but I never cared enough to try it). When you lose your crown or start a new game, you’ll get another random ruler. Both genders can ride any of the mounts, provided that you have the mount unlocked, it has appeared on your island, and you have enough coins to pay for the switch. Unlocks are handled through signposts that you can find on each island. There’s a wiki out there that has a lot of useful information, so you can check it out if you want to read up more on the game.

At the current sale price, I feel that this game is a steal. I picked it up for $8 a while back and got more than my money’s worth out of it. The sequel, Two Crowns, is even better in many ways, but more expensive. If you pick up New Lands and like it, you can always get Two Crowns down the line if it gets cheaper.

@klingki I bought it yesterday and its so much fun. I was either going to get this or steamworld heist and in the end I chose this game because I didnt know whether I would like this game or not (the game is 19.99 full price and that's a lot of money for a game I may not enjoy). I am now very happy with this decision especially because of how different it is (another reason I didnt get steamworld heist was because I already have enough turn based RPGs to finish.)
