I'm so disappointed they didn't announce it for Switch. Bandai Namco should consider to release the switch version. This can be proven with xenoverse 2 and fighter z. Both are sold like a hot cake. Why they still and always left switch out?

Resident Evil 2 remake by capcom, now project z by Bandai Namco

I still hope both RE 2 remake and project z come to switch at later date

I do wonder why this game wouldn't be developed for the Switch from the beginning. I'd think we're well past the point (especially with games like this) of games having come into development before the Switch was known about. There is some other reason that these titles are missing out on the Switch (or receiving the dreaded Switch delay) and it is frustrating.

it's probably coming later. it wouldn't be shocking if Project Z came out a few months later after the original release. just like Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus did. it came out on Xbox One and PS4 in 2017 than 2018 for switch.

@DB-S_RE I have confidence that we will see more powerful iterations of Switch akin to the mobile phone business model. I dare say we will see them, but the technology has to catch up to the home. Which it will eventually.

Development for the game probably began before the Switch was even announced.

I'd assume a Switch port will come sometime later.

Xenoverse 2 and FighterZ both came to the Switch much later when they originally released on other platforms, so a Switch port could happen later down the road. They usually want to focus on releasing the game first on platforms which they started development on, Switch version usually needs changes here and there to get it to run which takes time. If they rushed the Switch version to release with the other platforms, then you'll get a port even worse than when WWE 2K18 launched on the Switch at a stunning 2fps.

I made Sheldon & Mr. Randoms back on Flipnote Hatena, now i'm a kangaroo mod that has a funko pop collection!

I'm not keen politics since that stuff is spooky, I'd rather watch SpongeBob over Fox News anyways!

I agree, it's really bizarre to see it skip Switch. I understand that it's probably been in development for quite some time, but Xenoverse 2 hit Switch about a year and a half ago and showed that there was tons of demand for Dragon Ball on Switch. That's plenty of time to add a Switch version, especially given that Project Z's engine already supports Switch. Here's hoping we get a Kill la Kill The Game or Wolfenstein 2 scenario, where the Switch version is announced some time before release on other platforms, and ideally releases alongside them.

@SheldonRandoms Xenoverse 2 came out before the Switch's release. Dragon Ball FighterZ, I guess, was in development before the Switch's release. However, I just don't know how true that is for Dragon Ball Project Z. Has it really been in development so long? Note: We are two years into the Switch's life now.

@Harmonie Project Z could've very been in development for three+ years, it's hard to say how long since we've seen very little of Project Z (game still doesn't have an official title). At the very least it'll be the cutoff of them not knowing about the Switch/not getting a dev kit in time, so if the next Dragon Ball game doesn't appear on Switch, then it'll probably be due to the limitations of the Switch preventing a Switch (simultaneous) release.

I did follow and signed the petition to bring this Project Z to switch. And the only accaptable reason for switch version delay is if they need to make change here and there because switch may be different compare to other console. I believe this project Z development started after switch release. So Bamco really need to consider switch version. We dragon ball fans really hope to see this game and play it on our nintendo switch. Or could it be true that quiet lot dev waiting to release their game on the "rumour more powerful switch?"
