Topic: Motion Controls without TV?

Hello everyone,
sunday I'm going to buy a Switch with SMO. I have never seen anyone use it, so I have two questions.
1: Motion Controls are, like, if you have both joy cons seperated in your hands while holding them vertically?
2: If the answer on question 1 is yes, can you use Motion Controls with just a Switch, so no TV?

You can still use the motion controls for Super Mario Odyssey while playing in hand-held mode. Its not recommended in case your Switch falls out of your hands. But it will work.

@Masteroflolz the motion controls work both handheld and docked. Whatever way you are using the joycons, the motion control will work.
