How can 2 Switch users who are friends play minecraft together? They have Nintendo switch online accounts and are able to play smash bros etc but can’t seem to find each other on Minecraft. What am I missing??
@Sherbot Maybe it's because Xbox is Microsoft, which created, or owns, Minecraft? If I remember right, Minecraft came to other platforms as an afterthought. So, it's possible you may see some legacy menus that were too costly to remove when they made the game cross-platform. So, if you've got the option to push through that, maybe things will still work.
I recall when Rocket League or Crash Team Racing came to the Switch, when I went to their website to make my account, the Switch was not a platform option on the account form. The only way to create an account was to lie. So, I said xbox, or "other", but after I was logged in, then there was an option to set my platform to Switch. It was screwy, but I've seen a few screwy things(legacy menus, labels) with games that came to the Switch as an afterthought.
If this isn't helpful, no need to reply. But I thought it was a possibility.
