Has anyone else had this problem?
My Home screen / quick start screen is not appearing, the only thing i can get on my switch is the Power options (by holding down the power button)
I tried shutting down leaving it for 30 secs and turning back on, but blank screen.
Also restart, nothing
Put it in cradle (it was the only way to see that it was on because of the green power light in the cradle.
Its not the screen as the power options still works.
Anyone got any ideas?
@gcunit Cheers will give those a go, problem is I can't really tell if it is on when unplugged except by keep on holding down the power button, maybe the next version of the switch should have a separate LED power light like the 3DS.
Another problem is, I got it from UK Nintendo Store so doubt i can get a replacement.
Also i'm guessing if i get a replacement, my 200+ hours on Zelda will be wiped out.
HA!, just showed a friend it wasn't working, man it was hot don't know why, held down the power button to show him the power screen to show the screen wasn't busted. Didn't do anything, except the screen flickered. Thought it was strange, gave it to my friend who just held down the power button and it bought up the Nintendo screen, then the Switch screen, YIPPEE!
It's back to working but has 52% battery, strange, but working now
Thank god, i thought i would have to go without playing it at lunch today, phew!
I too am experiencing this issue. The home screen is black and if I hold down the home button the pop up menu appears... Powering it off solves the problem yes but it still keeps happening. My switch is in a well vented area when docked and I mostly use it in hand held mode anyway. This happens in both modes. Any tips would be appreciated, thanks
