Topic: Fortnite is taking away time from other games

@baller478 I do play splatoon just about as much as I play fortnite, and I think splatoon is a much better game

Has Fortnite hurt Splatoon? I dont find multiplayer games nearly as fun as single player (especially when they're online only), but I like Splatoon. Haven't been playing it much lately to notice. Today it took a while to get matched up though.

@Trajan I definetly think so, lots of my friends have splatoon but always choose fortnite over it, my cousin also just got a switch and sees no need to buy any games when he can just play fortnite on it instead, which hurts all games

I mainly play Fortnite with friends, most of the time I play solo is to do a couple daily challenges. I don't have the battle pass since content in this season didn't interest me dat much, and I don't enjoy Fortnite as much as games like Splatoon 2 or Overwatch.

"But dat means you're just a default skin noob, trolololol" I have the 2nd Twitch prime pack, so, uhhhh, guess dat is the next best thing instead of getting battle pass.

@MasterJay You just have to learn to balance your time and set your own priorities. How do you want to spend your limited game time? I do know how you feel. I felt that way with Hearthstone for a long time. I felt if I didn't keep up with daily quests, I was scamming myself out of in-game coins which get me much wanted packs. Eventually I had to pull myself away from that game because it was preventing me from playing much else. I had to decide for myself that Hearthstone packs were no longer a priority.

@DarthNocturnal I definetly agree about the season 4 thing, all my friends were grinding to get omega. And they definetly made it easier for season 5, which is a good improvement

I have fortnite on the switch and it is SO addicting. Its like they are hipnotising me to buy vbucks and battle pass (and they are working). I cant stop playing when i have legend of zelda BOTW to be playing. I feel the same way.

@Mountain_Man Building is not a gimmick in this game. It makes it more challenging and thus more interesting.

Just play what you want to play and about video games news and Goggle stories, just ignore them and you'll have more time for everything else. You can live without them.

I’m just waiting for the battle royale fad to pass. I honestly don’t get the hype.

Don’t get me wrong: I love competitive multiplayer. Splatoon 2 and Paladins are two of my most-played games.

I’ve just never understood the appeal of the battle royale games. I’ve hated every single one. To me, they’re so inferior as compared to controlled map, respawn-driven, standard team deathmatch or objective-based multiplayer.

To each his/her own I guess. I just hate the format.
