Damn! I just typed a huge reply and the site lost it for some reason.

I'm playing on the EU servers.

Anyway, yes it's good. Beware of being stuck with numpty squad-mates in co-op missions. Co-op requires actual tactics to get through to the mission end.

Co-op is loads of fun but the missions are often stoopidly tough.

PvE is also good. I've only been playing for a couple of weeks but I consistently win free-for-all deathmatches.

It reminds me a lot of playing Counterstike 20-odd years ago. In a good way, that is.

I've avoided paying real money so far, but be aware that once you get decent weapons and armour you'll have to spend in-game currency to repair it. PvE missions pay loads more in rewards than co-op missions so it's worth running some of them each day.

Give it a go, you've got nothing to lose but storage space.

I broadly agree with what you've said, but I still really enjoy co-op. Win or lose, I generally enjoy myself, and I've only been disappointed in my own performance a couple of times.
Totally agree about finding a decent squad being very difficult. I've had a couple of really good squads through the random matchups but mostly I get stuck with a bunch of numpties who approach battle in the same way a bunch of 5-year olds approach a game of football, all yelling and flailing around, chasing the ball down in a single pack and kicking furiously to little effect.
I find the bell ends tend to announce themselves by firing weapons in the hold of the transport chopper on the way in to the mission. It's nice they give you that warning but it still sucks when you have to carry them through a mission.
In co-op I'm still only playing on the Easy missions (I'm only level 10) because they're quite tough enough with 4 idiots at your back. Haven't tried any spec-ops yet either. I always play as a basic Rifleman because I'm bloody good at it. Not trying to ring my own bell but I'm pulling headshot kills about 42% of the time according to my stats, and it's rare I don't end a mission at the top of the table. I also try and dish out ammo whenever somebody runs dry.

On the PvP side, I've only played free-for-all and a couple of team deathmatch games. Again, I'm consistently winning in free-for-all (lowest I've come this week has been 3rd) and I'm not a camper at all. I'm constantly moving and looking for the next dude to shoot in the face.
I've also not played a huge number of maps in PvP, for whatever reason, certainly not played any of the dynamic maps but they sound pretty sweet.
I've also not noticed a problem with spawn campers, yeah I tend to die to some git shooting me in the spine with an SMG, but I just treat that as part of the fun. As long as I can mostly score 2 - 3 kills before getting capped I know I'll do well.

The equipment thing is a massive ball-ache, because you can't really afford to use your best equipment most of the time. I've got a Warlord Vest that I bought with in-game cash but I'm too scared of damaging it to put it on most of the time.

I do plan on saving up a big bankroll by farming free-for-all matches, then getting the Top Dog Rifleman Helmet and putting that on with the Warlord Vest then running some co-op safe in the knowledge that I can survive even if the rest of the squad get themselves slotted in the first encounter.

Overall, I think it's a good game, but not without its flaws. I'm not sure how long it will hold my interest but I'm content to keep plugging away at it for now.

Totally agree about the connection issues, a couple of times I've missed entire sections of missions because of it.
I only got stuck in the loading loop once but it's a bitch to get out of without exiting the software entirely.

I know what you mean about the glaring issues. For me the biggest is the vast disparity between difficulty/reward level comparing co-op and PvP. PvP earns so much more and yet I find free-for-all and even team deathmatch fairly easy, certainly a lot easier than the Easy co-op missions with a team of randoms who have less than 1 clue combined.

I'm still enjoying it at the moment, primarily because it's my only fix for a decent Switch FPS with a modern setting and I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed them.

I'm interested in trying out spec-ops and some of the objective-based team missions, not sure why I haven't you. In PvP I've mostly done free-for-all. I've done 2 team deathmatches. First was a total bust as it was also my first time playing the Downtown map (which I really like now) and it seemed like the opponents were much more together and acting cohesively so they absolutely destroyed us.
The second one was also Downtown and went much better. I got into my rhythm and forget about relying on squad-mates, just kept advancing and taking down enemies. The final score was weird. I came 2nd in my team, about half my team didn't register a single kill but I still managed to out-kill the top 2 players on the other team combined.

As I mentioned earlier, I was playing Counterstrike LAN parties about 20 years ago and Warface has so many similarities that it's got me entranced at the moment. Hopefully I can either get some mates to start playing, or find some decent folk-in game, then set up a Discord chat so we can co-ordinate amongst ourselves in the Team PvP and Co-Op missions. I think that would add loads to the experience. Team cohesion and tactics are what are really missing from the co-op and would make the missions much easier. I suspect the devs playtest the co-op missions sat in the same room so can co-ordinate easily which probably makes the insane difficulty levels seem OK to them.
