Topic: Animal crossing, where is mr blathers?

I’m on week 3 of animal crossing. But I still don’t understand why there is no sign of Mr Blathers. Looking at all tips he is needed for a shovel but he wasn’t there at day 2 like everyone puts in their tips. As I missing something?

Have you been giving critters and fish to Tom Nook?

He hasn’t asked for them so I show them off to him and he just claps his hands 🙈

So when you sell items to Tom Nook you should just be able to select the bugs or fish that you're holding like any other item? As I recall you need to donate 5 fish or bugs to him to get Blathers.

Yeah to get blathers, Tom Nook needs to receive 5 critters/fish. If he hasn’t asked, try talking to him, asking him what to do next, or selling stuff to him.

So I have sold critters/fish to his little mate Timmy and got cash for them. But when I speak to Tom Nook only option is, - what should I do? To which he just says spend your money or other option is - about my home.
I’ve got to the point where I’ve extended the house and 10 bugs/16 fish/18 creature species in my critterpedia 😳

Yes will do thanks, although don’t understand why all hints tips I read say Mr Blathers appears first week and I’m 3 weeks (nearly 4) in and nothing 😞 feel I’m missing something

@Maz345 you need to keep doing what Tom tells you to do and it opens up more options eventually leading to Blathers.
