Topic: ACNH backup question?

I share my ACNH island with someone else in my household, but their thinking of getting their own island on their own Switch Lite. Would it be possible to use back- up data to get her items and recipes from my Switch to theirs?

@BabyYoshi12 Sorry, BabyYoshi The current ACNH cloud backup, implimented in July, appears to only be for restoring lost/stolen/broken consoles. And you have to contact Nintendo to facilitate it. It's not something any can do without contacting Nintendo. They say console tranfers are still coming in 2020.

Recovery is only available in situations where a Nintendo Switch system is lost, stolen, or damaged. A new or repaired Nintendo Switch system is required. An active Nintendo Switch Online membership is also required. In the event of loss or damage, contact Nintendo Consumer Support, and a representative can help you restore the island and user save data on your new or repaired Nintendo Switch system (standard charges apply for non-warranty repairs)

@BabyYoshi Here's the page where they say console transfers are coming this year, if you wanted to see it.

I think we'll see headlines when they finally offer console transfers.

edit: They actually edited this page when cloud backup was implemented last month. In case you wondered if it's an outdated page. It appears they're keeping it current.
