Topic: Question about system transfering a GBA/NES Ambassador 3DS

I won an ebay auction for a 3DS console that has the Ambassador NES/GBA games. I phoned up NIntendo UK to see if I can transfer the license from that 3DS to my current 3DS XL so that all those games can be on my XL console.Sadly they said no can do.

I'm almost 100% certain that the Amabassador 3DS has no NNID (but my XL has my own NNID) so does that mean if I system transfer from the XL to the Ambassador 3DS and then back again, I could get all those games without any problem?

Also, does system transfering affect the saves for the digital 3DS games I bought?

I think transferring from your system to the ambassador system should add them to your eshop list, if they're not linked to a NNID already. From there you can transfer everything back after a week.

I've never done that though, so I'm not 100% sure.

Of course, if you have a N3DS then you'd need to transfer them to another N3DS first and things get complicated.

Edit: transferring should not affect your save files if you do the process correctly. I will delete the save files on the target system though.
