I just bought my New 3DS XL yesterday (my first 3DS) and discovered last night that the D-Pad was a little loose. Lightly tapping on one side of it makes a noise and moves the D-Pad in that direction. If I turn the system upside-down when it is open, the D-Pad lowers to a greater height than normal.
Not only that, but if I close the 3DS and shake it — or even turn it around — I hear a rattle that seems to be coming from where the D-Pad is located. This has me somewhat paranoid as I haven't dropped it or anything.
Is this normal?
(P.S. I purchased the one year warranty from Best Buy; not sure if I should bring it in because of this)
