I have bought a brand new 3DS XL and done the system transfer from my old 3DS XL, the problem is that now I can not receive Street Pass from any Street Pass Relay Stations (MC Donald's etc.), this worked fine on my old system, I can still receive street passes from friends 3DS systems- it is just the relay stations that wont work for me.
I have also checked all my system settings & Street Pass Mii Plaza settings against a friends system that works and they are identical, everything is switched on and active.
ive tried contacting Nintendo but just got the ususal copy & paste 'send it to us and let us charge you a fortune' letter!
Does anyone have any ideas what it could be? is there some obscure little setting that I've missed?
Any help would be really appreciated
Have you tried to connect to that Nintendo Zone manually? Does that work? My guess is that something SpotPass might not be properly set and connecting manually might change that.
Yeah I've been on Nintendo Zone, the icon for it also flashes when im at the my closest relay station (MC Donalds) so it must be working, ive also got spot pass switched on in the Nintendo Zone settings
ive already spoke to Nintendo about that and even though its brand new they are going to charge as I don't have the receipt to prove it!
anymore ideas? im normally pretty good at sorting tech out but this has got me well & truly stumped!, its annoying as its probably just something stupid that I've missed! but I never had this problem last time I did a system transfer.
Some zones don't have streetpasses at some times. Is this at multiple locations?
Yeah ive been to multiple locations, i also take a friends 3DS at the same time and it gets the 6 street pass relay hits, ive also tried leaving his 3DS off for a while to see if mine picks it up first, but still no luck.
On my old 3DS XL we would both get the hits by just passing a relay station.
Strange thing is that I get single Street Passes from other 3DS's just not from relay stations, I cant figure out why!
