i got one for my girlfriend. she loves it. she actually sold a lot of her actual books and bought them for cheap via the kindle market place. it's overall a really sleek product and the digital ink screen rules. you should invest in a light for it though cause unless im mistaken it has no back light...

No backlight makes sence. I've been thinking about getting one of these myself, might read more if I did. That price tag seems kind of outrageous to me though.

I thought so too, but when you think about it - a Kindle book runs for about $5 cheaper than a regular book. Buy a few hundred and you've justified the investment.

I'm thinking more about this as a way to get daily newspapers. I like having physical copies of books, but I can't stand buying newspapers (that, and it's impossible to find a copy of the Washington Post in Australia)
