Topic: Help for repairing touch screens on DS Lite

Hello people,

I recently bought some second-hand ds lite which are more or less damaged and some of them are open (without shells). I'm having a problem connecting the touchscreen cable to the motherboard because the little black flap that locks the flexible cable connection is no longer there.

So every time I try to tuck in the flexible tablecloth, it doesn't hold and pops right out.

Have you ever encountered this problem? Can the little black flap be reattached to the motherboard? Should I use glue?

Thanks if someone answer !

Even if you still had the flap, it likely broke when it detached from the rest of the connector. It's been a while since I swapped out a screen in a DS but, from memory, the connector is pretty easy to get hold of and replace (if you can solder) so might be easier just replacing the connector.
