Is there a way to use downloaded save data from the web on an actual DS cartridge in your 3DS? It seems to me that the game saves to the cart and not the SD but I was curious.
ds games use .duc save files I believe. There are ways to take the save files of ds games and copy them or restore them. But as far as I know only a very old action replay ds/dsi (look for a micro sd card slot) or game genie can do that. I don't know anyway to put that save data on your 3ds. maybe you could with a micro sd card reader that puts the micro sd card in an sd card shell. but I don't quite know.
(as far as i know copying save data is not illegal as if it were datel would be out f business)
