@Pflipflops these are my thoughts exactly, the thought of them continuing on to make a whole canon of nintendo movies is slightly nightmarish. A whole series of amazing games turned into generic and forgettable films.
Very strange to see people freaking out in the comments... some people find dudes hot sorry that this shatters the worldview of the good readers of nintendo life. Love the tagline btw lol
It was frankly a bit embarrassing. Pokémon is bringing down Nintendo's brand prestige at this point, it's lucky a good percentage of the population will buy anything with the word Pokémon slapped on it still.
As a primarily Nintendo player, I'm really not interested in any of Sony's current exclusives. They had some great games in the ps1 and 2 era and even some ps3 titles but their current stuff is so lowest-common-denominator. I don't really understand why would you buy a console other than the switch this gen anyway, other than being marginally less expensive than a comparable computer, and that's becoming less the case every year.
@Crono1973 while I generally agree that this culture of forcing an open-world into every game just because BotW did it has been detrimental, I think it's been done well in plenty of JRPGs. Just look at xenoblade.
@Max_the_German while the gamecube's launch line-up wasn't amazing, smash bros melee and pikmin came out very shortly after. I'd say it was worth buying by the end of it's launch year, whereas imo the wii u wasn't worth buying until a year later at the earliest (and partially because of a gamecube port).
@Flint I'm so glad to see a comment like this. You really hit the nail on the head and worded all my problems with these games perfectly. It's so tiring to see comments just mindlessly fawning love on this hundred Billion dollar franchise. I used to be a big pokemon fan but I just found swsh insulting, especially with all the innovation going on in other franchises. Certainly expectations are high now, but it's not like game freak doesn't have the money behind them to compete. Frankly though, with so many people proudly proclaiming that they'll shell out $60 every year just because it says pokémon on the box, I don't know if they have any impetus.

Re: The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Has Been Rated For Nintendo Switch
@mariomaster96 I really don't get how anyone can have this opinion unless the only other Zeldas they've played were on the cdi but to each their own
Re: The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Has Been Rated For Nintendo Switch
@Mauzuri I won't deny that the dungeons and music are good... but that's not all that goes into a Zelda game
Re: The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Has Been Rated For Nintendo Switch
I don't get this obsession with "dark" Zelda... it's this attitude that got us twilight princess shudders
