I don't get it. This seems better than the original. With the original you needed 5 Nintendo consoles for 4 people to play (Gamecube and 4 gbas). With the new version you need 5 consoles but the users can use tablet, ps4, switch, switch lite and use the free lite client to connect. Many homes have that already. No special cable! As for the people that want local offline multiplay, my condolences, but I seriously doubt that the target market here is people sitting in the back seat on a long car trip.
