Re: Watch Out For This Glitch If You're Trying To 100% Paper Mario: The Origami King

Its really not worth 100% , unless you just have to - the reward is not that great.

However, i would say it is a game worth getting if your interested; standard fights with enemies do get a bit tedious at points, but you are never far away from a boss or some new puzzle.

Besides this bug has obviously happened to me, and i am missing another bad guy on one of the streamers, so there may be another bug incoming........ Have 100% the toads and Black holes

Re: Analysts Expect Nintendo Switch Hybrid to End 'Two-Punch Strategy'

I would think from a business perspective , a more powerful handheld- than the 3ds - that can use its cartridges.

What's the current maximum storage size for a 3ds cart ?

A new system around 150 that uses maybe enhanced 3s type catridges as well backwards compatibility .

Otherwise they are going to need a new type of medium that would cost a lot .

A more powerful type 3ds console with graphics some where between wii and switch , which can handle cartridges up to say 4gb.

Battery life of 6 hours plus , drop the 3D and maybe have a new feature (but what) and retail new £150 .

No idea if this is possible but that would be the ideal 2 console plan . With switch connectivity maybe .

I don't think the switch is seen as a 3ds replacement , and if this is so they have a 3ds replacement well underway .

I would of thought Nintendo would be keen to have a portable only 2nd product to go along with the switch , as it guarantees a bigger user base, they have always been successful in the handheld market and also means that going forward there is less risk if one of the platforms is less successful ; like what happened with the wii u .

This is pure speculation obviously and try to second guess Nintendo is impossible , but I would think that not having a replacement may be a mistake in the longer run.

Maybe a Nintendo type smart phone which initially only releases in Japan that is a small but capable games device . They seem to succeed or at least always go with , new , completely different ideas than just a more powerful successor . Maybe e3 2018 we will see something or the year after .

Re: Online Co-Op in Splatoon 2's Salmon Run Will Be Limited to Specific Times

Hey all,

Though I do agree it's a shame that you can't play it whenever you want , it might be one of the following reasons ;

This is me trying to figure out nintendos thinking, not my opinions . Apologise for the length novel in advance !

1. Possibly the rewards are some of the best , and nintendos thinking is by having it only available it will help with players coming back to the game often to get , at certain times to get that upgrade they really want.

2. To ensure that players come online mostly altogether for salmond run . By knowing it will be on a certain day , they believe that more players will be online, and friends can arrange, to make games easier to find, waiting in lobbies less ?

3 It seems that it is going to be really hard on the higher difficult settings , so I guess like point 2, they want people to know when to be on and arrange with their friends for groups, to avoid loads of failed runs which quickly result in people leaving half way through ; if you have ever played a mmo doing a raid you will know what I mean?
4. Maybe something to do with the server and or capacity ; as the app etc and voice chat will be new , limiting times might be a roll out thing to test the waters for this mode with its dynamic weather etc.
I have no idea if this might require maintenance in between etc

5. Themed runs , like Halloween and holidays etc on certain days , plus maybe the weather , time cycle etc has something to do with this .
6. Part of the overall story for the game, some how this method will tie in with the updates, reveals and spoilers . One can hope .

7. Going in the screen shot from the direct, at least it seems that the runs will be on often - maybe 30 - 50 percent of the time , which at least is something.

8. Best guess is it will be similar to the town hall events in Pvz garden warfare 2 , which opened curtained days and then often had new elements introduced or different objectives ; maybe certain days boss fights only to earn a special piece of gear or cosmetic reward.

9. Then again Nintendo being Nintendo ? If the local offline mode is exactly the same then none of it makes any sense to have it at certain times . Though the local mode may be more like a practice run / limited reward play through which only allows you to select a handful of stages and does not have all the features of the online one .

Better be a decent reason though as people , including myself were stoked for this and a lot of people with commitments just get to play a few minutes here and there
