Still no acknowledgement from gaming media that this higher tier has been in existence since day one for much of the world. Its essentially just bringing the US inline with the rest of us.
Smash and BotW are £59.99 games in the UK, always have been, and are £10 more than the majority of typical first party releases. They are also, in an unusual act of generosity from Nintendo, eligible as Game Voucher titles (bringing it down to £42 in the UK for example) in countries that have that promotion.
I take it as a huge positive that a new game isn't coming out at the same time as the film. For many publishers this would be an absolute necessity, but Nintendo will just release a new mainline Mario game when they have new ideas and when those ideas are developed and ready.
@B4L0R_CLUB in the case of Newcastle, sure, via the fit and proper tests the League could have, in theory, put their foot down and said nope. However these are publicly traded shares, very little to stop anyone dipping in.
Nintendo won't even necessarily know who is buying them.
Weird that nothing has been announced for the UK yet, not even the price and availability of the CE version.
£42 for the digital version via Game Voucher remains by far the most tempting offer (especially as the half can be used for Pikmin 4 or Kirby) at the moment.
£59.99 in the UK, exactly the same as BotW here, 7 years ago. Also Game Voucher eligible so the equivalent of £42 digital. The US increase just brings it broadly inline with what pretty much everyone else is/has been paying.
I know nobody will do this, but I can't recommend going in as blind as possible enough. I did this with BotW (and never watch trailers for movies), it's so rewarding.
Imagine booting TotK up and knowing no more than what's been revealed in the teasers. No idea what the story is, what enemies there are, what abilities etc.

Re: Where To Pre-Order The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom On Switch
More scare mongering for UK folk. The standard price is £59.99, as it was for BotW, it will not be going up a further £10 to £69.99.
It's also available via Game Voucher (£84 for 2 games).

That doesn't generate clicks though, does it?
