Oh man, this looks set to be the week for the Wii U eShop, both this and Gunman Clive HD Collection arriving in Europe. Here's hoping for an EU release of VS Excitebike too!
Terrifying thought, but that shot of the multiple Green Blobs and Chespin, are all but one of those dead? The tummy circle (stone?) is dark green instead of pink-red.
Can confirm that the Fire Mario's fireballs are thin cardboard.
Apologies for the lacklustre images, didn't have a huge amount of time to take them. I was working after all...
Jumping Mario's block makes the coin sound, he also slides up from the floor to the block. There are also ? Block stickers for the block. Didn't notice them when photographing. Mario can be detached.
Yoshi is on pull-back wheels.
Mario Visor is somewhat small, even for Children. It would maybe fit around a 2L bottle of Coke.
Boomerang Mario's boomerang moves up and down, can be detached.
Peach, Luigi and Penguin Mario seemingly had no gimmicks. Peach is attached to her backdrop.
Wait, is a game purchase required specifically in this promotional period to get the Hyrule Warriors discount, or will any previous purchase of a Zelde title do (excl. Four Swords Anniversary Edition).
The image in the tweet says the latter, the article says the former.
@Tsurii897 I believe they're expanded version of the games, with new levels. The article does mention this vaguely. I think Dedede's Drum Dash Deluxe has more levels, and Kirby Fighters Deluxe has more fighters.
I only ever pirate games I own but no longer work (i.e. Pokémon Gold because the save battery has died) or games no longer available to buy in such a way that the developer profits. As for that last condition, if the game becomes available on Virtual Console (i.e. Shantae), I buy it out of courtesy.
I'd get the Assassin's Creed games on Wii U if we had guarantee of all the DLC, and the upcoming games... no point getting used to playing them on Wii U. May try Splinter Cell Blacklist but I'm not exactly starved of something to play right now so I probably won't bother.
If you don't own Rayman Legends and Child of Light though, this is your week.
Already own EarthBound, Steel Diver: Sub Wars premium, SteamWorld Dig and Little Inferno, so I'm going with GBA Kirby, but I'd highly recommend the discounts if they apply to you.
I'm super excited for Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, Fantasy Life, Persona Q, Shantae and the Pirate's Curse and Super Smash Bros. but nowhere near excited as I am for the Ace Attorney trilogy. I played the first game on DS a few weeks ago but decided I'd wait for the 3DS remake of two and three rather than buying them pre-owned.
Everything I've mentioned is day one for me, with Sonic Boom coming if reviews are good.
Some players haven't had the character switch glitch fix itself until they've finished four Ghost levels. It fixed for me after collecting all 100 Golden Diamonds in Ghost 1-1, can't say if that's a quick fix requirement sadly.
Just keep playing. I've had zero issues after character select fixes itself.
From what I can tell we have another NSMB2 on our hands.
The main game sounds solid and enjoyable, but doesn't do enough new things and the real draw of the game is the multiplayer side-game. In this case it's Kirby Fighters playing the Coin Rush of Triple Deluxe.
I can certainly see myself enjoying Kirby Fighters, unfortunately I'm incompetent when it comes to rhythm games so I doubt I'll be pouring plenty of play time into Dedede's Drum Dash.
Personally I'm absolutely fine with this. I don't overly care about innovation when it comes to platformers, I just want to enjoy myself. Yoshi's New Island was certainly a disappointment, let's hope Kirby: Triple Deluxe is better!
This is fantastic, though I do wish they'd also release Cave Story 3D as a download version. I'd probably rather play that version of the game, but unfortunately it costs £60-£70 for a UK release. And seeing as none of that goes to the developer, I'm not inclined to buy it. Will definitely pick up this release come May 1st!
After finishing this game a few weeks ago I have to say I loved it. As a fan of both the Professor Layton and Ace Attorney series, it felt like the perfect labour of love. The two gameplay styles connected wonderfully for me. I really hope we get a sequel.
The only disappointment I can imagine is that Sam Riegel isn't voicing Phoenix Wright. Whilst the guy voicing Phoenix is very good, it's a shame it's not the voice we got to know in Dual Destinies. To be honest, I think I actually prefer the different voice actor as Sam Riegel sounds a little too young for Phoenix, so it isn't an issue for me, but others may be disappointed.
As for North America, I really hope you get the game as soon as possible!

@Kaze_Memaryu Good luck importing a Japanese 2DS; they don't exist.

I guess as this site is entirely English-language it makes sense, sorry :/
Re: UK And Australian Pricing For Nintendo's Amiibo Figure Range Is Confirmed
Considering that I had settled on the £12.99 price point, I'm actually quite happy to see them at £10.99.

@ColdingLight We don't need to give you excuses, that's Nintendo of America's job.

I wonder if TBC means To Be Cancelled in Ubisoft's dictionary.

PLEASE don't buy The Letter. NintendDaan managed to beat the game in his six minute first look video...

Re: Review: Yoshi's New Island (3DS)
I'm almost done with the game, and sadly I feel like I can review the game in six words: A mediocre, lacklustre and boring platformer.
I'd say the 5/10 is pretty much correct, unfortunately.
