If they had made just a more powerful Wii 2, that came with both a pro controller and wiimote plus packed in, it would have done better than the Wii U. Sometimes a simple upgrade it best. I know the GCN didn't do well, but that was after pooping the bed with expensive N64 cartridges and basically handing the lead to Playstation.

I remember when the "NX" was rumored to be more powerful than the PS4. We'll see. Low power consoles have been mostly a winning recipe for Nintendo.

I'm sure it will play well, but I'm not into the GBC aesthetic. Retro graphics have been kinda overdone at this point. I'll still likely get it for the gameplay, though.

I don't buy Nintendo systems for mainstream AAA style titles. I mean, if a person wants a ps4 experience, ps4s are available and affordable. The era where a gamer sticks to just one system for close to a decade for EVERYTHING is gone.

Yeah i don't even play mobile games anymore because they're crap and have stuff like this. If this leaks into real games too much I'll just be entertained elsewhere.

Skyrim, kindoms of amalur, and pikmin 3.

Just having Nintendo titles and a good selection of decent indies is good enough for me! Then again, i won't be buying a switch for years yet...

Exactly. People can put linux and emulators on a cheap raspberry pi or whatever. And even that is hardly worth the effort.

I see why some people enjoy the challenge, but there's no way i would want to mess with my $300 console just to play old games that can be played on much cheaper hardware more easily.

I bought one, and love it! It's a fantastic alternative to the nes / snes classic for those of us who don't want to pay scalpers.
