Re: Bandai Namco Has Slightly Changed Its New Logo

Remarkable how they made such an incredibly boring logo, then took the single bit of personality it had out of it.

Seriously the magenta was the only thing it had going for it, and even then it was inferior to their old logo

Having played this a fair bit it's quite enjoyable, particularly when playing with a friend.

But give the online ranked mode a miss, this is probably the only game I've run into where playing with different controls gives a distinct advantage, it's impossible to get out of the lower rankings online when playing with a drum controller, at low rankings the game forces you to play on easy, which means both players are going to get a full combo of goods pretty easily, so the only deciding factor is how many drum rolls you can get in.

That would be fine if you were both playing on the drum controller, but people playing on regular controllers can just spam all the buttons to get an obscene drum roll up, just hitting 2 or 3 buttons decently quickly can get you 16 hits per second, and really spamming can get you a lot more, so in instances where even decent play on the drum can only get you 20 or so drum rolls, controller players will get over 90. And since as mentioned you're forced on easy drum rolls are the deciding factor, if you could at least choose to play on higher difficulties actual skill would be relevant.

So until bandai namco adds in a filter for control type don't bother with the online ranked mode, it's a waste of time.

Re: Guide: Pokémon HOME Explained - How To Transfer All Pokémon To And From Pokémon HOME

senrab

The problem I have with this is it coincides with the decision to stop having all pokemon return to games, so now I have to pay for a feature that was previously free, but I get less functionality than the free version had.

It seems like nintendo wants to have their cake and eat it too, either pokemon home and bank should be free, or we should be able to transfer all our pokemon into the new games.

I really just don't like the idea that what pokemon we can bring with us will be decided by what nintendo thinks are popular, what if my favourite ever pokemon is unpopular? I'll never get to transfer it to newer games? But I bet pikachu will always be available

Re: Reggie Doesn't Seem To Think Nintendo Has "Abandoned" F-Zero, Says There's Still Hope

They've given us this nonesense line plenty of times before, and while I understand it conceptually, it has been a long time since and F-zero game, We aren't asking for a yearly release, just to see one game every now and then.

And there have been plenty of technological improvements, online play being the most obvious, they could create the perfect F-zero game now, something that allows online play with a full 30 players but with graphics like f-zero gx (or even better)

And really, "we don't want to make a game without some sort of new spin or technology" doesn't make sense when we've recieved yet another mario kart with absolutely no new features, in fact with less features, how is that okay, but giving us 1 f-zero game isn't allowed?
