Re: A Game Boy Productivity Suite Has Been Fully Funded On Kickstarter

Why does this even exist? I mean and not to mention how late it is. I grew up in the 90s and you would look at you watch for the time, now you look at your phone. The calculator part probably would have been the most useful part of it. I feel like even in its time this wouldn't have sold. I mean it's cool, but it's unnecessary and tbh not worth the over $2000 they raised for it.

I wish Nintendo would just release their 1st party exclusives on other platforms as well. I doubt the switch sales themselves make them a ton of money, it's mainly the game sales. Any money they lost from switch sales could be made up from additional sales via other platforms. A lot of the more hardcore fanboys of Nintendo are hoping the steam deck will fail but I think it's pretty much shown there's been WAY more interest than valve initially expected, myself included. I'm not a fanboy of anything but I appreciate good tech when I see it. I've basically been wanting something like this for a long time, I tried getting a razer Kishi for my phone but honestly, it wasn't convenient and it's not like it can play my steam library without remote streaming which is laggy at best.

@Dante52uk in regards to your previous comment about steam locking people into the ecosystem, the steam deck does not do that. They even said you could install whatever you want and even windows onto it instead of steam os if you so choose, it's just a handheld PC essentially so you can do whatever you want with it. Tim Sweeny even is all for it and epic is a competitor to steam because of the epic Games store.
