I just have to disagree. This article seems like a giant hyperbole. The main reason why is because this is literally the only place I've come where someone said anything this bad about the game. Almost every other gaming outlet said the Modern Sonic is just as good as Generations, and Classic Sonic felt just as good as Generations. The most controversial thing was the OC, who everyone seems 50/50 on. I was at E3 this year, and played Sonic Forces on the PS4, and my impressions are a whole 180 from yours. Like you mentioned 06, saying this gameplay reminded you of it, and I had to just cut the video off. And then you started talking about poor performance, which then I read that you played the Switch version which any outlet who played that version, complained about, because it was poorly optimized. If that's the case, then I can see where you are coming from. I understand you are Nintendo Life, and you HAVE to play the Nintendo version of the game, but you should definitely not judge it based on the worst version.
This whole article was just overly aggressive nonsense. I'm still trying to grasp how you said the formula worked and you enjoyed Colors and Generations, but Forces, which is the exact same formula with even better improvements, is comparable to 06. What?
