we had more luck on the abysal. my bro can solo it in about 20 mins with ls. it takes me a bit longer, but that lucent armor just....it wont give either of us that damn moon shard. i do like the abysal armor tho. its beastly.

the quest on the original simply called monster hunter, was damn near impossible

yeah, slime is like the universal element. oh, i also gs, i could be better at it tho imo. the slimes proc rate dropping so fast tho is why i cant use duals with slime. i do great until the monster attacks after its stun locked a bit, lol

i solo with a grongigas hammer or switch axe. i don't have the ......dodging abilities needed for duals. i also fancy a lonsword often due to charge lvls in 3u. but i never could quite get the hang of the duals.
but kelbi deershot with free elem. part breaker. tenderizer. hearing protect? now that's just cheap

ive never put over 1000 hours into any other game. an im not talking cumulative. between original, mhportable, 2ndg, freedom, freedom unite 2nd g, and 3u? (I skipped tri cause I didn't like the wii controller...I knew ultimate would come out soooo..)
