I would deeply resent a Fire Emblem that abandoned its tactical RPG roots in favor of... anything. Three Houses and Engage are made by different teams. The former prioritized its writing and plot while the later cared more about gameplay. The result is that both are among the best FE games in those respective lanes, and personally, if they choose to juggle two teams like that from hereon I'm good for it. But good lord, don't abandon the gameplay.
