I'm way over 12 a year but I never buy anything full price. My Switch 2 was bought off marketplace a week after release. The NSO and Mario Kart codes were already used, but I bought those off of someone online for a deal as well. I picked up DK bonanza for 50 bucks used about two weeks after it came out. I think the only game I have paid full price for this year would be Street Fighter 6 on switch 2 and I've hardly played it. I always think I'm a bigger fan of fighting games than I really am.
But even outside what I buy used I'm over 12 new in the shrink wrap games a year, but those games are almost always on sale. For instance, I bought Ghost of Tsushima(Director's Cut) today and I've been dying to play that game for years but I was able to pick it up on sale for 21 bucks new so I jumped on it. I'm fine waiting because I know I'm going to be able to pick up games like that for cheap in the future. Nintendo published games though is a whole different story. Those require getting lucky like I did with the switch2 and DK. On the other hand I recently paid full price for Far Cry Blood Dragon because it got released in the Limited Run Vault and I know I'll almost never be able to get it for retail price otherwise.
I've been wanting to play 6 since it came out but I don't do the Playstation subscriptions since I mainly collect physical games. But this means no online play so this is a huge plus in my book for getting a Switch 2. I want to replay Cyberpunk 2077 too, so I'm assuming the cross platform saves will allow me to start a game up with New game + on my Switch 2. These are both just bonuses for getting a Switch 2.
I'm looking forward to this and hoping I can get some people to play online with me. I played a copy of the Japanese version of this on Wii when it came out and still had a blast with it(I don't know Japanese). I didn't even know there was a release outside of Japan until I saw it for sale at a used store recently for around $400.

Re: Nintendo Live 2024 Tokyo Has Been Cancelled
@rotekps_aniger If events were cancelled for every mass shooting in America, nothing would ever happen.
