@swordplay Actraiser is the best of those games, but Landstalker is pretty good too. I haven't played Harvest Moon and as for F-Zero X I don't really like racing games so I can't judge there. But whatever you do, stay far, far away from Legend of Mystical Ninja. You'd be better of using your $8 as toilet paper than getting that game.
@Objection_Blaster I thought it was hard mostly because of those giant lava things you have to slice. I had completley forgotten that I could do a quick dash (although it doesn't respond all the time).
Hmmm... I own the original cartridge, but I never considered this game to be that amazing. It's reasonably fun, but I guess it's just not my cup of tea.
I played this at a friend's house, and I was more than impressed. Oh, sure it was hard, (curse you eggplant wizard!) but I am already seriously considering buying this game.
I don't get the criticism for this game. Not enough variety? If you do the math, there are 35 modes and combos (not counting certain enemies that help you if you held them on your head). Not all the combos were great (with fire+ice ranking as the most useless), but most were useful. This is definitely one of Kirby's best outings.
EDIT: Mr. Cheez, my orthodontist has one of those too! He's had F-Zero X there, but last time I went there there was Banjo-Tooie. Top that!
@bladeso'steel99baby Are you pressing the wrong button, or are you just blind?
Oh, and this game is great. I'd buy it if I didn't have the original AND the DS version. Some worlds can be really annoying to visit repeatedly though, so I still think Galaxy's a lot better. You still can't get much better value for $10, though.
Hmmm... Zelda+RPG. How could that be anything BUT good? Maybe it's the supposed difficulty that scares people away, or they can't comprehend the fact that not every Zelda game has to play the same way. I might just buy this.
I am worried however that this will feel like a big step down from TP, the only 3-D Zelda game that I have played. Not just in the controls, but also because (from what I've heard at least) OoT's Hyrule is so much smaller than TP's. Still looks like it's worth the $10, though.
@Kingston I'm gonna guess that if TP wasn't your thing, Ocarina won't be either--they both play the same except for the swapping of time travel for the whole wolf thing. I'm tempted to get this game myself, unless I can get it to work on the old N64. Stupid malfunctioning cartridge!
@Kingston Shining Force is easier and therefore easier to get into at first. But for those who truly enjoy their strategy games, Fire Emblem is a much better game. The one thing that Shining does have though is a more RPG-like overworld/towns.
This kind of gameplay really holds up over time. I played it on a CD called "Sega Smash Pack 2," and it was really good. But it's no Fire Emblem...
EDIT: Wouldn't it be cool if the VC could put on some of the Japan-only Fire Emblems? Not sure if Nintendo would be willing to translate the entire game, but it's still a thought.
@Objection_Blaster Thanks. However, if had had to dismantle and rebuild something like, say, the White Mage Guild, would it keep its research from before?
I don't understand. I always talk to my adventurers first thing each day so that they can complete their behest, but they never seem to even finish them anymore. Are my buildings too spaced out or something?
I agree w/ Kingston, co-op is awesome. Me and a friend just sat and did nothing but play DYC for 5+ hours and got past stage 60. P.S. This game IS better than the computer version b/c of the co-op (glares at comment above )
This game is probably the best RPG on the VC (BoF2 is pretty close). Oh, and Objection_Blaster, I have played Luigi's Mansion as well and yes, it does suck. The only good thing to come from it was the Poltergust Kart on Mario Kart DS. I PWNED with that thing.
Everyone should stop being such squares. This funky game has the grooviest aliens of all time. These two disco sensations are cool enough to boogie your night away. Anyone who doesn't like this is such a jive turkey...
P.S. @Nintendo Nerd Give it up. You have no reason to keep promoting Luigi's Mansion. It's terrible and you know it. I would have more fun catching sheet ghosts in the attic with a vacuum cleaner.
@bass You probably thought it sucked because you were expecting more of an RPG. Unfortunately, your feeble mind was unable to process the fact that it falls under a different genre.
Either that or your taste just sucks LOL
P.S. @NintendoNerd Kingston was pretty much right on. Oh, and Luigi's Mansion was terribly crappiful.

Re: New WiiWare Game: Let's Catch
I wouldn't pay to play catch in real life, let alone $10 for a simulation. In fact, you would actually have to pay me to play this game.
Re: Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
I like Super Mario RPG more than Paper Mario, but not more than TTYD.

Re: Get Ready To Go To Battle In Swords & Soldiers!
Wow. I'll be keeping an eye on this one.
Re: The Legend of the Mystical Ninja
@Virus
I didn't mean unplayable in the glitchy sense, but more in the sense that it's repetitive, bland, cheap, and generally terrible.
Re: Sin and Punishment
Sorry, I haven't beaten the game yet. That stupid boss where you fight a planet is impossible.
EDIT: I beat it! Even though no one knows the game's plot, I call this the best import game and shooter on VC!
Re: Sin and Punishment
@Andio Pandio
Wait a second. Isn't Saki a girl?
Re: Top 20 WiiWare Games in America (30th July)
@Gavin Rozee
We all enjoy getting drunk too much. (I didn't buy the game, though).

Re: High Voltage Interview - Animales de la Muerte
If there will ever be a must- have WiiWare game, it's this one.
Re: ActRaiser
@Mr. Cheez
Get this, as long as you enjoy action/platformers as well.
Re: Sin and Punishment
If continues weren't limited, this might be my favortie VC game. Still great though and worth the 1200 points. 5/5

Good, but not as good as Panic on Funkotron. 4/5
Re: Landstalker
I'm in the first dungeon and I'm already lost. Ugh
Re: Most Popular WiiWare Games in North America (25th June)
Pokemon Ranch is the last game that SHOULD be #1, but not the last game I EXPECTED would be #1 unfortunately.

Re: Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards

This or Neutopia II?

Re: Neutopia II
I'm thinking about getting a Zelda-like game pretty soon. This or Startropics?
Re: Bio Miracle Bokutte Upa
I have to play this.
Re: The Legend of the Mystical Ninja
Just doin' my job, Kingston, just doin' my job.
Re: ActRaiser
This game is one of my favorite VC titles. One thing though, how do you get/use magic in the platforming sections?

Re: Breath of Fire II
Kingston couldn't BE more wrong. It's clearly deserves a 9.3/10.
Re: The Legend of the Mystical Ninja
I don't see all the hype. Cheesy, but wasn't that funny. Also, the developers overlooked the fact that the game was unplayable.
Gameplay: 3.6/10
Audio:6/10
Graphics: 6/10
Humor: none/10
Lasting Appeal: You must be kidding me/10
Total: <0/10
